This policy explains what personal information MangoShop.in collects when you use our website, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have. We've written it in plain language — not because we had to, but because you deserve to actually understand it.

MangoShop.in is an online mango store that sells fresh, farm-direct mangoes across India. When this policy refers to “MangoShop.in,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” it means the MangoShop.in platform and the team that runs it.

2. What Information We Collect
2.1 Information you give us
When you use MangoShop.in, you may provide:
Account and order information
- Your name and email address when you create an account or place an order
- Your delivery address when you check out
- Your phone number for order updates and delivery coordination
- Your order history and preferences
Communication information
- Messages you send us via the contact form, email, or WhatsApp
- Reviews you leave on variety pages
Notification preferences
- Which mango varieties you want to be alerted about when they come into season
- Your preferred delivery city
Wholesale and farmer enquiries
- Business name, contact details, and details you submit through our wholesale or farmer partnership forms
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you visit MangoShop.in, our systems automatically record:
- Your IP address
- Browser type and version
- Which pages you visit and how long you spend on them
- The device you're using (mobile, tablet, desktop)
- The website that referred you to us
This data is collected through server logs and analytics tools (see Section 6 on Cookies). It helps us understand how the site is being used and fix problems when they come up.
2.3 What we do not collect
- Full payment card numbers — these go directly to our payment processor and never touch our servers (see Section 5)
- Government ID numbers (Aadhaar, PAN, etc.)
- Medical or health information
- Biometric data
- Any data from children under 18 (see Section 9)
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for these purposes, and nothing else:
To fulfil your order Your name, address, phone number, and email are used to process your order, arrange delivery, and send you order confirmations and tracking updates. Without this information, we cannot complete your purchase.
To send season notifications If you sign up for variety alerts, we use your email address to let you know when your preferred mango variety is in season and available. You can unsubscribe from these at any time using the link in any notification email.
To send WhatsApp order updates If you opt in to WhatsApp updates, we use your phone number to send order status messages. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.
To respond to your messages When you contact us through the contact form, email, or WhatsApp, we use your information to reply to your query and keep a record of the conversation.
To improve the website We use anonymised, aggregated usage data to understand which pages are most useful, what causes people to leave without buying, and where the site is slow or broken. This analysis does not identify you personally.
To prevent fraud We use IP addresses and usage data to detect and block fraudulent orders, fake account creation, and payment fraud.
To meet legal obligations We retain certain records (particularly financial and order records) to comply with Indian tax law and accounting requirements.
5. Payment Information
MangoShop.in does not store, access, or process your payment card details.
When you pay at checkout, your card or UPI details are entered directly into a secure form provided by our payment processor. That information goes from your browser to the payment processor — it does not pass through MangoShop.in's servers.
What we do store:your order total, the type of payment method used (e.g., “card” or “UPI”), and whether the payment succeeded or failed. We do not store card numbers, CVV codes, expiry dates, or UPI PINs.
Our payment processor is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Refer to their privacy policy for details on how your payment data is protected.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep your data only as long as we need it.

Deleting your account: If you close your MangoShop.in account, your profile and personal details are deleted promptly. We retain your order records for 7 years as required by law, but we anonymise them — removing your name and contact details and keeping only the order data needed for accounting purposes.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights over your personal information:
AccessYou can ask us what personal data we hold about you. We'll tell you what we have, how we're using it, and who we've shared it with.
Correction You can ask us to correct any information we hold that is inaccurate or incomplete. You can update your name, email, phone number, and delivery addresses directly in your account settings. For anything else, contact us.
DeletionYou can ask us to delete your personal data. We'll delete what we can. Some data we're legally required to keep (like financial records for 7 years under Indian tax law) — we'll explain clearly what we can and cannot delete and why.
Withdraw consentWhere we're relying on your consent to use your data (for example, season notification emails or WhatsApp updates), you can withdraw that consent at any time. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply STOP on WhatsApp, or contact us directly.
Raise a concernIf you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can raise a complaint with us directly at hello@MangoShop.in. We'll respond within 30 days. If you remain unsatisfied, you have the right to escalate to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational.
How to exercise your rights Email hello@MangoShop.inwith your name, your registered email address, and what you'd like us to do. We'll verify your identity and respond within 15 business days.
9. Children
MangoShop.in is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted their information to us, please contact hello@MangoShop.in and we will delete it promptly.
10. Security
We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information. These include:
- All data transmitted between your browser and our site is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS)
- Sensitive data stored in our database (such as passwords) is encrypted
- Access to personal data is restricted to team members who need it to do their job
- Passwords are hashed — we cannot see your password, only a scrambled version of it
- Payment data is handled entirely by our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor (see Section 5)
No online service is completely secure. If something goes wrong — a data breach that is likely to affect you — we'll let you know promptly.
11. External Links
MangoShop.in may contain links to other websites — for example, links to our payment gateway or delivery partner's tracking pages. Once you leave our site, this privacy policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally — for example, if we add a new service, change a data processor, or if the law changes.
When we make meaningful changes, we'll update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify registered users by email.
